This afternoon and tonight, November 16, 2021, our local Limerick Generating Station (LGS) will be performing their every other year exercise to demonstrate emergency communications capabilities should there be a problem at the Nuclear Power Plant.  Starting around 3 or 4 pm this afternoon, you will hear Chester County and Montgomery County providing voice and data communications using several different modes.  Attached are their respective IC-205 Frequency Listing for each county and their intended purpose.  Of course, we all know what can go wrong … will.  Therefore, it is important to be flexible as some frequencies or usage may change, for whatever reason.

ICS-205 Communications Plan

ICS-205 Montgomery County

For those District One ARES Members in Bucks, Delaware, and Philadelphia Counties are encourage to listen in and observe how everyone responds.  I welcome any feedback (good and bad) from all on how to improve our communications support to our county served agencies.

Personally, I will be station within the Montgomery County EOC but will be checking e-mails should you need to reach me.

Thank you and your ARES Members for their support to their communities, Emergency Communications, and the ARRL.
