ARES of Delaware County will be staffing an outreach table at this popular event, National Night Out! Join us as we educate people about disaster preparedness and emergency communications. Explain the missions of CCDC, ARES and DelCART so they are aware of who we are and what we do. And maybe we'll pick up some new volunteers!
What to Wear & Bring
- Come prepared for the weather. Wear closed toed shoes; hats are good.
- Bring water and snacks.
- I always have a book for those rare times we are not busy!
- I'll have extra water and snacks.
What to Expect
Supplies will be dropped off for us and we will be working with ARES and DelCART members - it's a great chance to network and learn more about the other groups!
Never worked an outreach? This is your opportunity to observe set up, outreach to visitors, and breakdown. Learn to reach out to visitors and teach them about disaster preparedness and US!
ARES, along with DelCART, will be at 3 National Night Out locations this year. Please sign up on Galaxy Digital at https://ccdcredi.delcocitizencorps.org/.

We got a nice 2 station desk for the ARES trailer, which I put together along with rearranging the layout. It is looking pretty good and will be very functional. The trailer will be deployed to the Morton location for National Night Out on
All of the large items (desk, storage cubbies and storage shelf) are tied down and ready for whenever the trailer is transported. Also, the Go Kits on the desk are tied down and the laptops and organizers are all held down in place with hook and loop (Velcro) tape.
