30 minutesIntroduction to Winlink and using clients such as Winlink Express and Pat

Winlink is a digital communications mode which is capable to sending messages (email and forms) using only radio frequencies even if the internet is unavailable.
We will start with a basic introduction of Winlink, and how to use Winlink Express to send/receive messages, starting with the Telnet protocol.
Please bring along a Microsoft device (laptop/surface) with Winlink Express installed.  If you already use a different WInlink client, feel free to bring that instead.
We will get into using Winlink over your radio RF at another meeting in the near future.

  • Chris Kelleher Will send a request for what is needed for reinstallation of the W3AEC-10 Winlink station at the 911 center for use to Danielle Koerner

  •  Will schedule a future monthly meeting to dive further into Winlink, connecting your radio to a computer and transmitting using radio frequencies instead of telnet.
