Monthly Meeting on Teams
Delco ARES Members,
Don't forget that the Monthly Delco ARES Meeting is tonight at 7:00pm on Microsoft Teams.
Also, please don't forget to document your NET time in ARES Connect. The website is https://arrl.volunteerhub.com/lp/epa
There is good overview of how to register for ARES Connect and Reporting Time on the Eastern PA Section ARES website. This is available here: https://epa-arrl.org/ares-connect/
Since it is our monthly meeting time, you should also log into ServPA to make sure your account is up to date and active. This is available here: https://www.serv.pa.gov/
Please use the following link to join the meeting
One of the topics we'll be discussing tonight is restarting our SKYWARN Nets when the National Weather Sevice issues watches/warnings for Delaware County.
Information and Training
Please check out our SKYWARN page with links to training materials, including the spotter handbook and basic spotter training videos, as well as weather and reporting related links to various resources.
If you have a SKYWARN spotter ID, please email your ID to firstname.lastname@example.org so we can get those setup. Also please include any location(s) that you would be typically reporting from, like your home or office.
If you do not have a SKYWARN Spotter ID, then please view the 3 training videos posted by NWS Mount Holly, NJ on the SKYWARN page. Once that is completed, you can request a Spotter ID using the NWS Class Registration page available here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfBuk2Gjw41Gjt7oAxeemZe2te7gdx80y9B-Ayg53fxIpZKNA/viewform
SKYWARN Net Script and Forms
We have posted a SKYWARN Net Script and reporting forms in the member's area of the website, and will go over these during the meeting tonight.
